Dr. Patti Flint is board certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery and offers services at her private practice in both Scottsdale and Mesa and is also the sole owner of Scottsdale McCormick Ranch Surgicenter. Dr. Flint performs aesthetic surgery of the face, breast, and body as well as aesthetic treatments including Botox, filler, laser, peels, and skincare.
While she is well-known in the Valley for impeccable work and a consultative approach, she's also making her mark with community contributions such as her Women in Science Scholarship.

Dr. Patti Flint
Q: What inspired you to begin your business?
A: As a child and teenager, I was an athlete. I became interested in injury recovery, anatomy and nutrition so medicine was a natural fit. My mother always worked for physicians and she really respected them. That resonated with me as well.
Q: The Dr. Patti Flint Women in Science Scholarship was designed specifically to support Arizona women pursuing education in the hard sciences and awards a college student a $5,000 scholarship to pursue their education in Arizona. Can you share why it was important to you to establish this generous scholarship?
A: I had to work hard to obtain scholarship money so that I could pursue my goal of becoming a doctor. I want to pay back the awards that were given to me in a way that helps other young women trying to pursue the same path. It can be a heavy burden to have to worry about finances for books and tuition when you also have a challenging course load and may not have time to work. I also want to see more women in hard sciences as I had no female mentors when I was coming up and I think that kind of support would have been invaluable.
Q: We understand you place great value on patient education and honesty and ensure you answer all questions so that each patient can confidently make the most informed decisions. What advice would you give someone considering a procedure as to the type of questions to ask and what specifically to look for in a surgeon?
A: There is a great deal of confusion amongst the lay public as to who is qualified to perform aesthetic surgery. Ask your surgeon if they are Board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). There are other certifications and boards, but ABPS is the board that certifies plastic surgeons. Also, ask about years of experience with the procedure at hand. You need to feel comfortable with the surgeon and their mode of communication. If your questions don't get answered thoroughly and in a clear way, keep looking.
Q: Tell us about a milestone you will be celebrating?
A: I will have been in practice for 25 years in July of 2021.

Q: What would you like our TSG community to know about your practice?
A: I focus on creating a balanced appearance that I believe is far more attractive than an operated look. I spend a great deal of time educating patients on their choices of aesthetic treatments and guiding them through the decision-making process. My staff are all very caring individuals and we all work together to make my office a comfortable and welcoming place to visit.
Q: What do you love about running a business here in the Valley?
A: I did my residency in Phoenix and fell in love with the climate and the people. It reminded me of my home state of California without the crowds and traffic. I found great consultants and support for opening a new practice here. My patients have been very loyal and supportive. I really would not want to work anywhere else.
